As the Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes across the “big 6” areas of compliance, Building Safety and wider M&E work programmes. You will help ensure bpha meets legal and regulatory Landlord Health & Safety duties while supporting the effective management of contractors and key compliance activities.
As a Project Officer you will:
- Act as a key point of contact for planned/cyclical compliance programmes and related Building Safety work
- Support contract management, ensuring contractors deliver work in line with plans, contracts, and statutory requirements
- Manage repairs and follow‑on works arising from contractor visits
- Monitor, reconcile, and validate compliance data to ensure integrity and accuracy
- Review contractor documentation, validate data and ensure correct recording in compliance systems
- Support the planning and monitoring of annual maintenance and cyclical work programmes, tracking KPIs and performance measures
- Assist in the management and delivery of major compliance projects, ensuring performance targets and milestones are successfully achieved
- Ensure projects and works comply with statutory obligations including CDM Regulations 2015 and relevant health & safety legislation
- Attend and contribute to contractor progress meetings, ensuring actions and performance issues are recorded and managed effectively
- Provide KPI data and reports to the Data Manager and other internal stakeholders as required.
About You
We are seeking someone who is detail‑focused, confident working with data and documentation, and comfortable supporting contractor relationships within a safety‑critical environment.
As a Project Officer you will have:
- Strong numeracy and communication skills, able to produce clear, high‑quality reports
- Good IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office and systems such as Asprey, CRM, Keystone or other housing/compliance platforms
- Excellent customer care and a commitment to equality and diversity in all interactions
- Flexible, collaborative and confident working with internal teams and external partners
Knowledge & Experience (Essential):
- Experience working across multiple Asset Compliance or Building Safety planned/cyclical workstreams in a social housing or similar environment
- Understanding of health and safety issues affecting residential properties, including knowledge of CDM 2015 and leasehold consultation
- Strong awareness of regulation and legislation relevant to Landlord Health & Safety
Qualifications:
Industry‑recognised qualification in asset compliance management or equivalent (essential)
